Subject:

Hi, I'm Bowen,

I enjoyed the 'I not stupid too' movie, I hope and suggest in future it will come out 'I not stupid three' ! Thanks Jack's Neo movie, which refresh my memories in my primary and secondary school day’s life, which I myself studied in EM3 and Normal Tech before. As I recalled some of the actors look like my classmates in my primary and secondary school days.

Jack's Neo continue to do the great work and I am very encouraged by the things you have done. Hope to see more movies related to Teenagers life.

Thanks Bowen

hi janice here,

The latest movie was great! It really touch a person heart and soul! Why i say this because it teaches young teens to know what is kinship and family love to one and all to others. In real life, people don't know what is called love and this movie really explain what is love and family love and care. It also explain someone that a kin is lost and it really precious someone heart that he/she grows up he/she must remember to repay kindness. When i saw this movie it really remind me of a friend whom always a naughty student in this class and one day his parents died in a car crash and he is with his aunt. He told me that it really hurt when his parents always play and share and now no one. I WOULD LIKE TO HEREBY THAT THIS MOVIE IS GREAT AND BRING YOUR OWN CHILREN TO SEE THIS MOVIE THANK YOU

I Not Stupid Too is fantastic!

Dear Jack Neo & Jteam,

I thoroughly enjoyed I Not Stupid Too so much so I have watched it three times already. I can't believe tears actually rolled out of my eyes! Especially the scene where Jerry was caned by his dad for stealing money.

The adorable little boy Ashley Leong is such a talented actor! He made me laugh so hard and then later made me teared. I hope to see more of him in your movies. But I can't seem to find his biodata on your website.

I love the theme song. It's very catchy. Plan to watch a fourth time and buy the DVD when it's out. Thanks for I Not Stupid Too.

Hi terence here,

Its my pleasure to write an email too you all. I think that I not stupid too is a really eye catching movie to watch. It an out reach to all youths and parents. The thing that i really like about this as it shows the way some singaporeans are doing and it helps to wake them up and know their mistakes.

I like the actor/ actress and Jack neo for putting so much effort for this show. The thing that i think u all should look forward too is when its during the crying scenes its makes u cry but after laugh again so not very suitable. I myself dont like chinese but after this show it really helps me to know how important chinese is espically the role of the principle as she persevre and never say die.

But overall its a very (too good to describe) show. ( i watch 2 times ) Don't know why magazine rate so low.

Dear Sirs,

I just watched "I am Not Stupid2" this evening. It was a very heartwarming family show and it touches my heart so much that I cried 3 times in the cinema. I was glad that I brought my 2 teenage nephews and 1 teenage niece along. I am sure that they understand their parents' love and care, after watching Jack Neo's movie. Director Jack Neo is perfectly right, we seem to fail to praise someone, or appreciate someone good points.

This show is great as it will narrow the communication gap between the parents and the children. And the way Director Jack Neo showcased the caning made me broke down. I can relate the pain in the parents, and the shame in the teenager. Yes, it was a matter of violating human rights and but it was also a matter of education and discipline. it was truly a very realistic scenario in the Spore school system and Director Jack Neo is able to make the audience cried, was indeed an extraordinary movie.

I also like the part that we have to learn how to say "I love you" to the children, and to give positive reinforcement to them even it means their improvement was 2 marks. Great Job Jack Neo! It was indeed another great educational movie. The kids will have a better understanding of their parents love and care2.

Sincerely,
Doris Tan

Hello! Today, I watched "I Not Stupid Too" for the first time! And I must say that it is a very touching and comedious movie! I really love the movie. Plus, Shawn and Joshua are so handsome! Haha!

The movie really portrays on how parents should give their attention to their children and how much parents love their children, though the parents do not how to show their love properly. I soaked 2 pieces of tissue paper with my tears! Especially at the part where Cheng Cai's father (played by Huang Yiliang) landed in the hospital because he was trying to save his son. It reminded me of my father's death in the hospital when I was 2 and a half years old, but the cause of the death is different from the movie.

The movie also showed that expelling a student with bad-records is not a good solution to make him turn over a new leaf, instead, it could be an opportunity to expose the student to more bad influence. And public caning is also not a good solution.

I really love the movie lots and lots, and hope to see "I Not Stupid 3" soon! Especially since the 2 main leads are so good-looking. Hehe!

And.. Thank you Jack Neo for your efforts on directing the movie, and portraying what many of us, students, face in this world. Rock on!

May God bless all of you!

I Not Stupid Too was great! Shawn and Joshua improve a lot in their acting. Of course I must say that Ashley's acting was great too. He looked like he really lived in the movie. I've watch this movie twice and understand a lot more the second time I watched as I was busy crying during the first time I watch. The mix of humor and sadness really made the movie a lot more interesting. Watching the movie is like living in it real life, even though I didn't see myself in it!!

Hope to see more of Jack Neo's movies soon!!

To: Mr Jack Neo

Your movie 'I not stupid too' was so overwhelming that I couldn't grab the tickets ever since it was screened until yesterday! The movie is very inspiring and Im pretty sure you have received many compliments judging from the message board in your website.

Personally, other than dropping an email of appreciation for the movie, I thought that you deserve more than just compliment for the movie you produced but also character-wise, your people-skills, you are indeed a role model to your fellow colleagues and fellow singaporean. Ive had one personal encounter with yourself during the autograph session at PS for Homerun. I was surprised by the humble and unpretentious behavior which you have display. No doubt my compliment would be worthless compared to 'ppl-of-higher-authority' but still KUDOS!!

Best Regards

Dear Everyone

I truly admire Mr Jack Neo for another great success at the movies.

I am actually rather immune to happenings in real life, and I am usually too numb about everyting to be able to cry, but I have cried in church while singing praises to my Lord, and at the movies, and this time, in Jack's movie depicting the two young teens and a kid.

The two main young actors, Shawn Lee and Joshua Ang has grown up to be very handsome lads indeed, and fine actors too, and I truly warm up to their characters, and I hope that teens in their shoes, in real life, could be assisted more by the schools than by what their parents can teach.

If all parents knew how to relate to their kids rather than keep ' teaching' them, or that they could understand enough to associate with their kids, we would be living in a better society today.

However, as this is rarely so, and that 90% of the parents do not really know how to be good parents, Jack's narration in a story form to bring out the sadness of the kids is a great masterpiece in itself.

Jack has always had the talent, and I am equally glad that he has chosen a very good cast to narrate his story.

I wish to applaud Jack's efforts, and even the songs that he has written for the movie and the music scores that were chosen are all fabulously done.

Of course, due to time constraints, I guess that Jack has to make all the adults overact in almost every episode, but all the three boys have done a beautiful job to hold the movie together with their hurting and silent characters.

If Singapore has less noisy parents and more understanding folks all round, how beautiful a place Singapore would be!

While applauding Jack for depicting Singapore as it is, I do hope that the folks here on our little island would grow up to be more intelligent adults (in real life), and could cultivate a more mature approach to life, than those found in Jack's movie.

And that, the pursuit of material gains should not jeopardize a balance family life or find us forfeiting the chance to nurture a good character in ourselves or our young ones.

May our future Singapore have better story lines for Jack to use in his other new movies, as it is truly time for Singapore to grow up and not just wake up to all the facts that Jack has portrayed.

May God Help Us All.

And, thank you Jack, once again.

Eleanor

Hi there Jack and the rest of the team (crew & cast),

Just want to say... That I have been thoroughly blessed by the film. Being a youth leader and once a local teenager like most of us are, I identify with a lot of issues you have tackled in the movie so wonderfully crafted... I doubt that I have viewed another movie that allows you to laugh and yet maintain the tear and the stir in the heart all at the same time in perfectbalance.

I have a boy whose story is almost exactly like that of Tom as depicted in the show... He's a very promising young boy who has since turned wayward because of the seemingly lack of communication and love from the family...Of which he's turned to what you've shown in the movie for "brotherhood and support".

Right after the show I texted his dad and knew that they've caught the movie as a family. How the show is going speak to the boy himself and to his parents, I don't know... But I can only hope that the show's been used to shine the light into his life... And to let him understand that everyone plays a part in communication.

Once again... Thank you for crafting this very meaningful piece.

Gavin Sng

Hi

I have already watched the show called I not stupid 2. Actually this show is quite meaning full and interesting. I watched that part which Shawn was caned in front of the whole school. His best friend, Jousha was kicked out of school. That was very sad. This is to teach the students not to learn bad thing in school. For example: steal money from other people and many others.

I watched this movie yesterday... I feel this movie is a good production...It made me cry while i was watching it... It was so touching to me... I will definitely recommend my friends to go watch... This show will be forever etched in my minds... Hope tat this show will sell fast and become the top ten movies rating... May God Bless All Of You!!!

Hi.

I just watched the movie earlier today. Some parts are really very funny! Some parts are so touching. My handkerchief was soaked and I had to use a tissue.

I can really relate to the problems Tom and Cheng Kai face. Although I have never been caned publicly or witnessed a public caning, (I am from a girl's school) I have had similar experiences. I had a minor theft incident and my parents were upset and disappointed in me. I have changd since then. My handphone has been confiscated recently, although it was not my fault, and I know the feeling of having to just 'give it up'.

This movie mainly touches on love and the importance of family togetherness. I reccomend that delinquents watch it, then only will they know how much agony they have caused their family.

I Not Stupid Too is just excellent!

Dear Sirs,

I was totally bowled over when I watched the preview last night! The casting is immaculate, acting so wonderful, content so real and impactful!

In addition, the positive effect on Singapore’s society will be so strong because of this movie. The Teaching profession, parents, parents-to-be and all school-goers will definitely benefit from the truth portrayed in the content.

It was the 1st time that I actually cried and laughed so hard during a screening, thanks for the experience!

I will definitely buy my parents and relatives tickets come this CNY week, and will highly recommend my friends to just go watch it!

Hope I Not Stupid Too will set a new box-office record for its all-round excellence, and all the best for its takings! And thanks for your hard work and excellence, Mr Jack Neo and Mr Yun!

Filmmaker for A WICKED TALE loves I NOT STUPID 2

Dear Jack,

It's me again. Just want to let you know that I really enjoyed I NOT STUPID 2. It's really a coming of age movie for Singapore ...

I can really relate to the two boys. It's exactly how I was like when I grew up. My mum frowned at me when I pursued my interest in Webpages even though I won awards for WebDesign during my school days, my dad also said my dressing was 'Kana Sai' like in the movie, i even shoplifted when I was a kid ...it's just so amazing that you manage to put all of that in a movie.

To be honest with you, I had my doubts about I NOT STUPID 2, because I love part 1 so much that I didn't think a sequel will do it justice. Well, you prove me wrong. I Not Stupid 2 is as moving as the first one.

The messages are very sincere, and because they are so sincere, they're powerful.

Makes me really wonder ... How Did You Write Such Stories? Where did you draw your story ideas from? I think you really brought out the best in Joshua and Shawn. They are really bankable young talent. I felt a sense of Singapore pride when I watch the Singapore flag waving at the last scene.

So here I go again...sending you an email once again to say Thanks. Thanks for making such a great movie. I'll definitely recommend it to all my friends.

I sincerely wish you success at the box office.

cheers,
Tzang M.
